I'm in goodie heaven :)
Yesterday a lovely, lovely friend came for a visit.
Her mother and I met over quilting and a friendship developed. I was heartbroken when I learned that she had cancer. She passed away in January 1997. As I also lost my own mother in November of the same year, it was, has been and still is tough. I miss them both so much for so many reasons.
The last time I'd seen Geraldine was at her mother's funeral 17 1/2 years ago. And about 2 weeks ago I stumbled over her blog. We exchanged e-mails, and yesterday was the big day, she came, we exchanged gifts, and we talked for almost 8 hours straight. In fact we chatted so much, I never even opened the goodie bag she so kindly gave me! LOL! And a Goodie Bag it is, actually it is The Mother Of All Goodie Bags. Thank you so much Geraldine, I hope we can meet again soon. :)
