I hope it's here to stay for a while....without getting too hot. Can't stand winter cold, can't tolerate heat either. Eternal spring/autumn would be my choice. Had the most wonderful Mother's Day. Loner that I am (and enjoying it, thanks to Pia, I found the book "Party for one", and feel so much more relaxed, normal, "validated" now about my introverted-loner-life), I spent the day at home, then my daughter called me from Berlin (where she lives) and we talked for about 90 minutes. We didn't have the best relationship for a really long time, but I think it's getting better......at least I feel this way. I hope my daughter feels the same.
Glad to be of some inspiration, and that you have found some ease in your life as a single.
ReplyDeleteI too love the light (and if that's too much, lovely muted through white curtains) but not the extreme temperatures.
I'm really thankful for you mentioning that book (I knew the other one, but "Party for one" helped me even more). Once I got used to *never* having anyone around to talk to, it got a little easier.
DeleteIn times of trouble, illness etc. I think it's natural even for loners to have more need or appetite for company, I know I can feel more "helpless" then and desire support. Just someone else in the house will do.
DeleteThat's it *exactly*, Pia.
